Outstanding achievement: HEYCO WERK USA INC. receives prestigious GACC North Carolina Gateway Award
2025 North Carolina Award
A significant moment for HEYCO: On 13 September 2025, our US subsidiary, HEYCO WERK USA INC., was honoured with the prestigious GACC North Carolina Gateway Award – a distinction that recognises outstanding entrepreneurial achievements in the transatlantic region.
The German American Chamber of commerce South (GACC South) has been promoting economic relations between Germany and the southern United States for many years. Every year, the North Carolina Award and the South Carolina Award are presented to companies and individuals who build bridges between the two continents with their innovative spirit and commitment.
Thi
s year, the award went to Ernst Peter Heynen (founder/shareholder) and Markus Heynen (managing shareholder) – representing the successful re-establishment and development of our modern production site in Dallas/North Carolina.
A special highlight: the award ceremony took place on the historic aircraft carrier USS Yorktown in the port of Charleston – an extraordinary setting for an extraordinary award.
For HEYCO, this honour is not only a great privilege, but also an incentive to continue on our path in the USA with just as much passion and foresight.

In addition to its original business with hand tools, the HEYCO-Group is now primarily known as a supplier of plastic and forged parts for the automotive industry. HEYCO is also valued by customers as a competent development partner for the module and system business.
