New HEYCO plant for technical plastic components in the USA is growing
Construction work on the new HEYCO plant in Dallas/North Carolina began on schedule in the fall. The earthworks are largely complete, the floor slab has been poured and the construction of the side walls has begun. Follow live how the new HEYCO manufacturing plant for the automotive industry is growing!
At the beginning of 2024, HEYCO announced that, in addition to the site in Emporia/VA, which has been part of the HEYCO-Group since 2019, it would also be manufacturing for international automotive customers in North Carolina from summer 2025. Following the groundbreaking ceremony for a production and logstics building measuring over 6.200 square meters on 13/06/2024, construction work has started on schedule and is progressing rapidly.
The HEYCO-Group is growing in the USA.
“We have received new orders from our costumers, which means that the available space in the existing plant will be too small in the near future. We are convinced that we have found the right place and the right people to continue HEYCO’s success story in the USA with a second production site”, said Markus Heynen, Managing Partner of the HEYCO-Group, at the groundbreaking ceremony in June 2024.
Daniel Dittmar/Managing Director and CEO USA, added: “Our new production and logistics unit here in North Carolina will bring us much closer to our customers’ assembly plants”. The plant is conveniently located directly on several major highways, the Charlotte airport and around 1 hour from the current main customer.
The production, assembly and logistics building, which covers over 66.000 square feet, will be equipped with state-of-the-art production facilities to manufacture complex single and multi-component injection-moulded parts for local customers from the automotive industry and their suppliers from 2025 on. Assembly with seals and connection technology will take place directly on site. “In the future, the area to be built on the 10-acre site that already belongs to it can be almost doubled”, explains Dittmar, pointing out the strategic direction of HEYCO USA’s development.
